Dr. Jonathan Morrow has served as the Director of Creative Strategies at Impact 360 Institute since June of 2013, but his role extends far beyond that. He’s an author, speaker, thought-leader, mentor and friend to just about everyone he meets – especially students and summer staff.

What I’ve noticed about Dr. Morrow since he’s joined us at Impact 360 is his gift in discerning where an individual is spiritually and addressing them on that level. It is a privilege to watch and learn from him not only with our Immersion and Gap Year students, but also as he’s trained our summer staff members and me to be more effective as we walk alongside students in our programs.

Morrow says, “There is nothing more gratifying than watching students come to a better, fuller understanding of their faith, and my biggest desire is for Christians to have confidence that their faith is real.”

Described as “approachable, friendly, funny and super smart,” by several students, Morrow has quickly become one of the most recognizable and beloved leaders at Impact 360.

There are too many people in today’s culture that think Christianity is not relevant to their daily lives, and I love being able to help convince them to own their faith.” – – Jonathan Morrow

Morrow says that being with students in the classroom environment and “teaching truths and ideas that matter” are what he enjoys most at Impact 360. “There are too many people in today’s culture that think Christianity is not relevant to their daily lives, and I love being able to help convince them to own their faith.”

This is probably where Morrow has pushed me the most as an individual. If you spend much time with him you’ll undoubtedly hear him share the importance of integrating our Christian worldview into all areas of life so that it’s whole and complete, not leaving any idea or action to be informed without careful biblical consideration.

Through teaching in Impact 360’s Immersion, 9-month Gap Year, and Masters experiences, Morrow is able to engage students in the crucial areas of Christian worldview and apologetics that help a new generation of Christ-followers understand what they believe, why they believe it, and why it matters in life.

“I take very seriously the fact that almost half of all Christian students are walking away from their faith,” he says, “and I think it’s time we do something about that.”

As the Director of Creative Strategies at Impact 360 Institute, Morrow has been charged with creating worldview and leadership content that allows students to “Know. Be. Live.” which are the pillars of the Impact 360 experiences. “What Jonathan brings to Impact 360 Institute is unique in the fact that he has a wide and valuable skill set. Among his many gifts he can teach in our academic settings, write content for both social media and publishing purposes, and create engaging media projects. He can do all of those things well and can effectively enable Impact 360 Institute to provide biblical worldview and leadership content to a much broader audience than simply those who can come to our campus. Jonathan plays a very important strategic role in the growth of Impact’s ability to connect with a national and global audience and I’m very thankful to have him working alongside us” said Dr. Phil Alsup, Executive Director Impact 360 Insitute.

Morrow says that through the new resources his area is able to develop and use at Impact 360 Institute, such as books, videos, podcasts, articles and more, we will be able to more effectively challenge people to take Christianity seriously.

“There is nothing more gratifying than watching students come to a better, fuller understanding of their faith, and my biggest desire is for Christians to have confidence that their faith is real.”

Morrow has found that many students are simply not prepared for the intellectual, moral, spiritual, and relational challenges of the college years and beyond, but that they are hungry for answers to life’s biggest questions.

“Now, more than ever, students and young professionals need to know that Christianity is not just a fairytale for grown ups, or a hopelessly outdated superstition that only the uneducated and gullible believe,” he says. “My life’s work is to make sure the Gospel will come alive again for these young people.”
