When it comes to the word faith, there is tons of confusion in our culture both inside and outside the church. Many people have this idea that faith is this blind wishful thinking where faith is a feeling but that’s not what Christian faith is. Faith is active trust in what you have good reason to believe is true. See, faith is like two wings of an airplane, faith and reason. They work together. Faith is the active trust part. Reason is the rational investigation part. So you take that step of faith in the direction of evidence, in the direction of the facts, and that’s why faith is not blind. Faith is active trust in what you have good reason to believe is true.
