Welcome Parents

Welcome Parents! We thought it would be helpful to share with you some of the details of the experience your student is stepping into here at Impact 360. The next nine months are going to be full of class, studying, growing in their faith, travel, building community and we cannot wait to welcome them onto campus this Fall.

Campus Break Schedule

Campus Break Schedule

What do Fellow’s weekends look like?

  • Occasionally there is programming during the weekends, though that is rare. Normally Fellows’ weekends are free. They spend that time doing homework, hanging out on campus, exploring Pine Mountain and nearby cities, and attending church on Sundays.

Can Fellows stay on campus during Fall or Spring Break?

  • Fall Break: Campus will remain open, so Fellows are allowed to stay, but there will be no programming and meals will not be provided. There will be a residential staff member on call in case of emergencies as well as our 24/7 campus security.
  • Spring Break: Campus will be closed, so Fellows will not be allowed to stay.
Technology Policy

Fellows Technology Policy and Tech Fast Dates

Technology Policy

More and more, we are living within a technology saturated world. There are so many good things that come from this! Unfortunately, there is also a lot of harm when we do not know how to handle technology in a healthy way. Based on research we have done, and from what we have observed through working with young adults since 2006, we have taken some measures to help coach this next generation in how to engage with technology in a healthy way.

We implement “Tech Fasts” and scheduled times where technology is not allowed so that our students are able to fully engage with the content, experiences, and community that occur throughout the 9 months.

Housing

Q & A

What furniture is provided in dorm rooms?

  • Each room includes a bed, desk, dresser, and closet for each student
  • Each room shares a bathroom with two showers (shower curtain included), toilets, two sinks, two mirrors, trashcans and shelving space for toiletries
  • Students do not need to bring any extra pieces of furniture or bed risers
  • Check out photos from inside the dorm rooms

What appliances are provided in each suite’s common space?

  • Each suite’s common space has two small kitchenettes with a refrigerator, microwave, and sink. Bringing additional appliances like a tea kettle, blenders, air fryer should be discussed among roommates/suite mates.

What is provided in the dorms common space?

  • Each residential building has a Commons Kitchen: located within the center common space of each building is a full-size kitchen that is stocked with all the kitchen/cooking supplies and dinnerware (plates, cups, eating utensils) students will need.
  • Appliances provided include a shared fridge, microwave, two ovens, and a dishwasher in the Commons Kitchen.

How many roommates will my Fellow have?

  • Fellows will live in a room with 4-5 other people of their same gender.

Will there be an RA living in the dorm with Fellows?

  • Yes. Legacy and Heritage are each divided into two houses separated with a common space in the middle of the building. Each house has two residential floors, separated by key-card access points, with suites – one for men, one for women – comprised of three Fellows rooms and a Resident apartment on each floor.

Travel

What is the shuttle service you recommend for helping students get to and from the airport in Atlanta?

  • Students are responsible for transportation to and from the airport. We recommend using Groome Transportation. Please note the Pine Mountain pick up spot is 20 mins from campus.
  • Fellows are welcome and encouraged to offer rides to/from the airport or the Groome shuttle stop, but driving a classmate to/from the airport or shuttle service is not an excused reason for missing class and/or programming.

Could we get the flight numbers for the International Immersion Trip so we can track to make sure students arrive and depart safely?

  • This information is not available at this point, but as we get closer to off campus peak experiences with flights that information will be provided to your Fellow.
Meals

Weekly Meals

Fellows receive breakfast, lunch, and dinner Monday-Thursday. On Friday breakfast and lunch are provided. Leftovers from the week are stored in the common space kitchen in the dorm buildings and the kitchen will provide a ready to eat meal in the fridge as well for the weekend.
