From Gen Z Volume 3 (2024), here are just a few realities shaping today’s students:

  • Authenticity is a struggle. 62% of Gen Z young adults say they feel held back from being their true selves.

  • They prioritize self over community. Only 7% say being in a lasting community is a top life goal.

  • They’re online but hungry for real connection. 54% say in-person relationships are more valuable than digital ones.

  • Morality is increasingly subjective. 60% believe what’s right or wrong depends on the individual.

  • Spiritual openness is rising. 64% have prayed to God in the last week, more than attend church or read Scripture.

These insights demand more than programmatic solutions. They call for Spirit-led leaders, intentional discipleship, and a deep understanding of the world Gen Z is growing up in.
