Student Blog Written By: Caleb Kendrick, Fellows

At the beginning of the year, my relationship with God was heavily works-based.

Through True Face and the book called “The Cure,” I realized that my mistakes don’t define me. I am a new creation, and the Lord is not waiting to punish me, but longs to bless me.

Being vulnerable led me to understand how I view God, and the community around me showed me that. The love of the Father is so abundant, and He throws our sins from the east to the west. They have no stronghold on us if we do not let them. We have way more power through Christ than we realize. Be honest, share your struggles, allow others to speak into your life, and take steps toward Christ. We cannot do it on our own.

Something Pastor Greg showed me was how he bends his knee to the Lord and tells Him that “his servant is listening”. This changed the way I came to the Lord. I am not coming for myself, I am coming for Him.
