Nine months ago, when I just showed up at Impact, I was not confident in sharing the gospel. I was too nervous that people were going to ask me questions I didn’t know the answer to. I was nervous I wasn’t going to represent Christ well. I wanted to help multiply His kingdom, but I wasn’t sure how to do it confidently.

My view of this has changed since being at Impact. I realize my confidence should not be in myself, but is in the Lord, and it’s ok to not know the answer to everything, and that should not stop me from sharing the gospel.

The trip that grew me in this area the most was the trip to Utah. This trip really made me get out of my comfort zone in the area of just walking up to people and getting into spiritual conversations. In these conversations, I learned what it truly feels like to rely on the Lord.

Another memory that God clearly showed up in this year was when we got to teach in Zimbabwe. I got the opportunity to teach about the discipleship square, and if you know me, you know that that teaching is very out of my comfort zone, but God showed up and used me to teach others even in an area I’m not confident in.

All these opportunities have truly grown my love of discipleship and evangelizing, and I want to continue to do so in my next season. In the next few years, I will be going to the University of West Georgia for a year, and hopefully transfer to UGA and pursue a degree in nutrition. For the first year, I want to pursue discipleship with younger girls back at home and with my family. And when I transfer to UGA, I would love to get plugged into the campus ministries they have, and I plan to get plugged into a local church and look for opportunities to serve in whatever area the Lord leads me to.

This year has truly been the biggest blessing, and I can’t wait to go out and teach others what I learned.
