“Biblical women are rooted in truth, not fear: they build others up generously and confidently rely on the Lord.”

This was our mantra for the 2025 womanhood retreat! We were blessed to stay at Woodlands camp in Cleveland, Georgia for two nights. There, we were able to dive deeper into our identities as women of God and what the Bible says about how we should live that out. Our fantastic staff made everything so special from bringing blankets and pillows for us to huddle up on during our sessions, delicious snacks and drinks, and fun community building activities!

The wealth of knowledge that every woman walked away with from this weekend was immeasurable. We could hear from fantastic speakers who dove into topics such as body image, our relationship with food, how our brains work, sanctification, and more! It was such a blessing to discuss complex issues so freely and in a safe environment.

Countless students expressed their appreciation for the vulnerable and honest space that our leaders cultivated for us. Following their example, many fellows were able to connect more deeply with each other and ended up creating and restoring friendships that will last beyond this program! Many Fellows women expressed that their favorite session was a Q&A panel that occurred Friday night. Students were encouraged to ask any questions they might have whether it be about dating, marriage, singleness, identity, sex, friendship or anything else. This was an amazing time to hear a panel of highly respected women giving us students advice and being open about their own stories. Countless Fellows expressed how influential this was as many do not have a relationship with their families that would allow for these types of discussions.

After each session, we were given a time to reflect on what we had just learned. I spent this time talking to God, journaling, and reading the Bible. I was truly shocked at how impactful this time was. Life gets busy so quickly and we forget just to be still in the presence of the Lord and to fully submit ourselves to Him: bringing our brokenness and shame out of the darkness and into His light. After reflection, all the girls would convene in our Bible study groups to discuss what we had been learning and reflecting on. This was again a very powerful time as we were able to grow in community with one another and open up about the good and also hard things going on in our lives. This was so powerful as we could speak truth to one another and build each other up!

When we were not in a session, reflection time, or Bible study group, we were indulging in one of the many FUN activities planned for us! Woodlands camp had exhilarating activities such as zip lines, three person swings, basketball, soccer fields, and more! In addition to these activities, our amazing staff planned events for us such as karaoke night and a “coffee house” time! These events made the trip so memorable and allowed us to connect!

Womanhood 2025 was one for the books!
