God had been teaching me how to be vulnerable. For a long time, I have had a habit of suppressing emotions not only to others but to myself as well. I not only wanted to keep my emotions from others but from myself as well.
But when I came to Impact, God showed me what it was like to have a trusting community and to have people who were not going to validate my emotions but speak truth to them.
He gave me a community that helped me understand my feelings. I learned that external and internal processing are essential to understanding your emotions. He put people in my life who were willing to love and listen and give advice. He has gifted me with people who understand what I am going through and who not only will listen but also share how they have gotten through it too.
As the months continued, it felt more and more normal to share my feelings and actually know what I am feeling in the moment. Trueface and Life Stories really helped create a vulnerable space with some people.
Even though I am not one hundred percent a vulnerable person, the Lord has broken down some walls.

We believe that when a student is rooted in truth, they become a catalyst for the Kingdom wherever they go. Help us continue to forge disciples who possess the resolve to stay faithful and the tools to make disciples. Your investment in the Multiply Fund makes this transformation possible.
