This week at Fellows, we have been sharing our life stories with our Bible study groups. Sharing your life story can be helpful to both you and to the listeners. Writing your life story gives you a better grasp on your life and the things that have shaped you. It also helps you to remember the Lord’s grace and faithfulness throughout your life. In addition, being vulnerable with others creates an environment that builds deeper relationships and encourages others to open up as well.

“Writing your life story…helps you to remember the Lord’s grace”

It has been so sweet to hear some of my classmates and leaders share the work that God has done in their life. Creating a space to be vulnerable has been so beneficial to me because it reveals the reality that a lot of my classmates have been through similar struggles and are also working through some of the same things. Being able to relate to each other in that way has been amazing, and it has grown us closer. It has been so fun getting to see what life was like for my classmates before coming to Impact.

Throughout sharing this, I’m realizing that the Lord shows up in my life too many ways to count. Time and time again I have seen His kindness and provision in my life. I have been through some pretty dark times in my relationship with the Lord. I have often found myself walking with friends who are going through heartbreaking things themselves, but every time the Lord has shown up. He has blessed me with a loving family and some amazing friends. I know now that I have people who uplift me and speak truth into my life. Sharing my life story prevents me from dwelling on things of the past and instead centers my eyes on the goodness of God! I will never forget the bonds that I have created this week. I am truly thankful for the opportunity to hear others open up and to be able to speak of the Lord’s work in my own life! I invite you to think about what the Lord has done in your life as well!

In grace,
