Wow! This trip has been absolutely amazing! God is so big and so good! One thing specifically that the Lord has been revealing to me on this trip is his faithfulness. I have always known that the Lord is faithful, but that is something that has been very apparent to me on this trip. The Lord’s faithfulness has been made known to me in big ways here in Brazil. Before we left for Brazil, the Lord laid on my heart on January 7th to begin praying for a random girl that He could be calling me to share my story with and my past struggles with in Brazil. I thought that was really weird because I had no idea who this girl was, and I didn’t even know what to pray for. But the Lord kept laying this on my heart, so I began to pray really hard for this girl in Brazil. I also told my friends and family, so they began to pray for this girl as well. Some specific things that I had been praying for was that this girl would not feel alone in her struggle and that this girl would know that she is never ever alone. I also prayed that this girl would begin to feel God’s love in ways that she had never felt before.
The second week in Brazil I really felt that the Lord was calling me to share my testimony. I had prepared my testimony before coming to Brazil, but it was very surface level. I was not planning on sharing what I went through and the struggles I faced, but little did I know that the Lord was planning something way different. The Lord was calling me to share so much more than what I was expecting, and that was made really clear to me. So I took a huge step in faith and was obedient to the Lord’s calling in that time. I shared my testimony, my whole and complete testimony. After I shared, this girl came up to me and asked me if we could talk. She shared with me what she had struggled with and it was the same struggle I faced. She told me how she felt alone in that. While she was talking I realized that this is the girl I had been praying for since before we left for Brazil! I was able to tell her that she has not been alone and that she is never, ever alone. I was also able to tell her that I had been fighting for her and that my family and friends had also been fighting for her through the power of prayer. That was such a special moment to me! I was able to share my life with this girl, encourage her, and love her. God is so faithful!
