Student Blog Written By: Bella Higman, Fellows
As I entered the Fellows program in August of 2025, I was timid and reserved about my faith. I didn’t want to say anything offensive, or that would put me in a position to have to defend my view. In fact, I didn’t have a very good idea of the reasons behind why I believed what I believed.
Throughout high school, I had viewed my faith as something to cling to rather than something to share.
It wasn’t until I started to have gospel conversations that my perspective on the good news changed. Through evangelism, God began to grow my heart for the lost as I learned about his heart for the nations. I saw the most growth in this area during my time in South Africa. I had the opportunity to talk with and pray for new people every day in Cape Town, witnessing firsthand the work that God is doing in people I’d never met across the globe. As I experienced God’s goodness through conversations with strangers, I saw in a new light how he cares for all people created in his image, relentlessly chasing after their hearts.
One of the biggest ways I recognized this change was through praying for people in townships in South Africa. Many of the people we visited lived in extreme poverty and struggled with various health issues, but their eagerness to receive prayer encouraged me. I was reminded of the goodness of the gospel through their recognition of what a gift it is.
Through the ways I got to see God move in evangelism conversations across the world, he has grown my heart for the lost immensely. I now have a passion for sharing the good news and an understanding of what it means to be a part of God’s mission in Matthew 28:19-20, making disciples of all nations. My Fellows experience has reminded me of what good news the gospel is and has grown my boldness in sharing that gift with others.

We believe that when a student is rooted in truth, they become a catalyst for the Kingdom wherever they go. Help us continue to forge disciples who possess the resolve to stay faithful and the tools to make disciples. Your investment in the Multiply Fund makes this transformation possible.
