We just finished up the last half of the leadership retreat and are currently enjoying a relaxing afternoon before heading to church tonight. I absolutely loved making to friendships with students here who are hungry for the Lord. It was so encouraging to see Brazilians our age eager to learn about God. I’ve been amazed during each session with them at the fact that we all worship the same God. One of the most precious things I’ve been able to experience thus far is worshiping our Lord in different languages, and knowing that he hears, understands, and ADORES it all. My heart is so full. We’ve all got much to learn from our friends here in Brazil. They love in a different way, and they teach us the importance of relationships. It can be hard for us, me especially, to let go of our “to-do” lists and enjoy relationships. But I’m learning that this is the way Jesus chose to live his life, and because of this I’m seeking to adopt this way of living. God has made a beautiful world, and created beautiful people to fill it with.

The whole time we’ve been in Brazil, and as I’ve been seeing Jesus move, my heart has been singing,
“I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul makes its boast in the Lord; let the humble hear and be glad. Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together!” – Psalms 34:1-3
I can’t explain how good God has been to us. Thank you all for your prayers – he is definitely with us.
Much love,
Maci McCart
