In this month’s edition of the newsletter, hear about what Fellows are learning in the classroom, be inspired by an Impact 360 alum who’s working on Capitol Hill, and join us in praying for the ministry and the students we serve.
In the Classroom
Fellows in our nine-month gap year program have been learning in the classroom from a range of speakers as they grow in their understanding of God, Scripture, and how to engage the world around them.
Students have been learning the arguments for God’s existence with Ed Bort as well as exploring different worldviews with Matt Dee. They then put their learning into practice through spiritual conversations at a local university.

Where They Are Now: Alumni
LARSON UPCHURCH, FELLOWS CLASS OF 2020
Four years ago, Larson Upchurch never imagined she would be working on Capitol Hill. Today, she serves as a Legislative Assistant in the U.S. House of Representatives, where she is passionate about supporting pro-life policy and advocating for the inherent value of every person made in God’s image. Her journey has been one of stepping outside her comfort zone, choosing obedience, and trusting God with each next step.
“I’ve grown in confidence in interacting with and loving people from vastly different backgrounds. I’ve learned to listen to others’ stories and have become increasingly convinced that, despite all our different kinds of brokenness, the gospel is our greatest need.”
Larson’s time as an Impact 360 Fellow continues to shape how she approaches both her work and relationships. From learning to ask thoughtful questions and listen well to treating every person with dignity, she strives to reflect Christ in the way she loves and serves others. Her encouragement to current Fellows reflects what she has learned along the way: “There’s so much purpose where you are right now.” She encourages Fellows to take spiritual disciplines seriously, serve selflessly, and choose obedience over comfort.

In August, alumni, families, and friends came together to celebrate generosity and invest in the next generation of Fellows during Legacy Week. Together, we raised more than $275,000 to support future Fellows and the mission ahead!
