After a long and eventful flight, our team (Brazil Team Truth) was welcomed in Brasilia by a few Lifeshape employees, whom we have the privilege to partner with. After getting on the bus to Claretiano, the conference center where we will be staying, we were joyfully greeted by the Lifeshape students whose cabins we will be staying in. They were so warm and welcoming when we arrived, and we had a chance to get to know them better as we settled in.
After meeting more Lifeshape students, we then had a delicious breakfast, and then had the rest of the day to ourselves. We did a number of different things: some went to swim in the pool, others caught up on rest from the flight, some took the opportunity to get to know more Lifeshape students, and others had fun playing games. It has been a great bonding opportunity to talk with each other and have fun doing different activities.
There are so many things that we have started experiencing and learning about Brazilian culture. We have had a great time learning their language. It is so exciting talking to them and hearing their stories. The food here is amazing and different from what we are used to. The scenery around is beautiful, and the weather is wonderful.
God has been so good to give each one of us the amazing opportunity to be here. He placed us on this team for a reason, and we are all so grateful for it. Being here for just one day so far feels so unreal.
God is so gracious to show us His love through another culture. We are so excited to see what else God has to show us as we begin to immerse into this amazing Brazilian culture!
