The Weight of the Soul, the Gift of the Gospel – Kinzey Middleton

Student Blog Written By: Kinzey Middleton, Fellows

As I look back on this year, there are so many things the Lord has taught me this year.

One thing in particular that sticks out to me is how God showed me what it looks like to break my heart for what breaks His. Specifically in the area of lost people. The Lord grew me in compassion for others by talking to LDS members in Utah. I realized the importance of the Gospel and how I am so undeserving of the gift it gives me, and that I should share that gift with as many people as possible. He told me I was given a “million dollars” and that I need to share that with everyone around me.

He grew in me a passion for evangelism and sharing the Gospel with others. Through speaking to lost people in Utah, Auburn, Washington, D.C., and even in my own hometown, I have realized that there are people everywhere who need to hear the truth. The Lord has grown me in boldness and confidence to start conversations with people and ask questions that leave stones in their shoes.

He has instilled in me a heart that loves people well and blessed me with the willingness to die to the fear of rejection to share the Gospel, which is ultimately loving them the best I can. The Lord has allowed me to have conversations that lead to someone being saved, as well as conversations that, in my eyes, did not have an impact but ultimately did later on, to teach me the importance of obedience and show me the faithfulness of God.

This year at Impact 360 has given me multiple opportunities to have spiritual conversations that have grown me in confidence, obedience, understanding of the Gospel, and a heart that breaks for lost souls.
