Step up.

Vision must be followed by venture. It is not enough to stare up the steps – we must step up the stairs.

Contentment is a good thing, but you don’t have to stay there. Being content means being satisfied with your capacity. Growth is about moving towards your potential.
And frankly, reaching for your potential is much more fun and satisfying than simply arriving at your capacity.

Leadership takes vision. It takes thinking long and hard about how to get to the places you’ve never been. But that’s only part of it. You have to actually go. You can guess all day about what’s at the top of the stairs, but you’ll never know for sure until you step up.

We have all been gifted with talents, abilities and dreams that no one else can claim as their own. Some of us are athletes; some musicians; some writers; some business people; some Moms and Dads; some dancers; some preachers; some artists and singers.

We all have the potential to be, do and become something very special, but some of us get bogged down in the shadows of the day-to-day and rarely find the time or energy to shine. Some of us are waiting until we have more time, knowledge or courage to really use the gifts we have been given. Opera singer, Beverly Sills, once said, “Everything you need you already have. You are complete right now. You are a whole, total person, not an apprentice person on the way to someplace else. Your completeness must be understood by you and experienced in your thoughts as your own personal reality.”

You are a complete person. You have already been given everything you need to begin living to your potential… today. You’re ready.

What are you waiting for?
