The Fellows experience has been full of so many challenging yet growth-filled experiences that have made such an impact on me. The hustle and bustle of the first few weeks was so much fun, but I loved getting the chance to slow down and reflect on what the Lord had been doing in all our lives in the past seven weeks. It was so refreshing to spend time with the Lord and abide in His presence.
After Utah, I was reminded of how intentional every word of Scripture is and how powerful it is to be able to read the Word of God. Spending time in solitude with the Lord and meditating on Scripture was an amazing opportunity to learn more about His character and how to rest in who he is. The time we spent surrounded by our peers was full of meaningful and fun conversations, s’mores, and games.
On our last day in Utah, as we gathered at the outlook, overlooking the setting sun and the rolling hills, it was incredible to see the beauty of the Lord’s creation and his faithfulness. The Lord who designed all creation knows us and cares for us. It was also such an answered prayer for a Christian community like this. As we sang together with lifted hands, taking part in communion, it was such a powerful reminder of the sacrifice of Jesus and how impactful and life-changing His grace is. Getting to pray with the residents reminded me of how much they care and how willing they are to support us.
This trip helped me to appreciate how blessed I am to be away from home at a place that feels like home.
Spending time with such encouraging friends who love so well and sacrificially reminds me of the love of Christ. So, although there were no specific or spontaneous events that stood out to me during Spiritual Rhythms, the whole trip was an amazing time to reflect on what the Lord has been doing.
