Scope of Position: 

  

Assist with the preparation of meals and comply with all sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards. Ensure excellence in Christian hospitality to student body, staff, and guests, while upholding a Christ-centered servant attitude.  

Reports to:  Executive Chef 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Under direction of Executive chef or line cooks, prepare food using established production procedures and follow standard recipes and special diet orders, ensuring food is prepared timely and is of excellent quality. 
  • Comply with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards. 
  • Coordinate with Service Teams to ensure food quality standards are met during meal service and clean-up. 
  • Set steam table, complete food temperature check, and serve or ensure proper serving of food for tray line or dining room.  
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies. 
  • Keep work area and food preparation equipment neat and clean at all times. Report necessary equipment repair and maintenance to Executive Chef. 
  • Store food properly and safely, marking the date and item. 
  • Assist Executive Chef with catering orders by receiving the catering order, verify quantities and serving portions and lead Service Team to serve accordingly. 
  • Maintain a positive and professional work environment, consistent with our organizational purposes and beliefs. 

        

Requirements: 

  • An evangelical believer practicing an active faith in a New Testament-based denomination and is in unreserved agreement with the Institute’s Statement of Faith and Biblical Conduct and Lifestyle Standards. Must support the vision, values, philosophy and community standards of Impact 360 Institute. 
  • 1 year of prior experience in a related food service position. 
  • Must possess understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients usage, equipment handling, and food preparation procedures. 
  • Must possess a commitment to excellence, seeing this work as a ministry, while having a heart for hospitality in accordance with the organization’s beliefs. 
  • Demonstrated organizational skills accompanied with strong work ethic.
