We lost a giant of the faith today. And while I am confident Ravi Zacharias is with Jesus right now, he was a truly gracious defender of the Christian faith and I will miss him.

Can Man Live Without God? was one of the first apologetics books that I read and it changed how I thought about defending the faith. Ravi’s engaging and gracious style never compromised truth as he tried to dignify the person asking questions. He was a master at this, and I decided early on I would try to follow his example. To this day during Q & A’s I try to make sure that the person asking the question feels cared for—even if we ultimately disagree.

I’ll never forget the first time I met Ravi Zacharias in the Atlanta airport. He was so gracious and kind and I got choked up trying to express to him how much his life and ministry had meant to me. I wouldn’t be who I am today without men like Ravi Zacharias.
